COVID-19 and Black Seed (Kalonji) (Nigella sativa)

Logical reasoning of Hot topic now a days about COVID-19......

The world is facing troublesome time. The fight against time to discover new Corona infection (COVID-19) immunizations is turning out to be increasingly more troublesome as time passes. Fundamental research on the pathophysiology of COVID-19 contamination has been published in a some articles to treat this irresistible malady.

Almost whole world is quarantined by this COVID-19 infection and world's ongoing functions has been disrupted :( .

Different advice from different people across the world to treat and prevent COVID-19. Currently majority of people are talking about the black seed (which is commonly known as kalonji in Pakistan and India)and hydroxychloroquine benefits in COVID 19.

In Pakistan and in India Kalonji is used to flavor curries,dal,vegetable and even savoury like samosas kachorian etc..It is popular in various traditional medicines like Unani, Tibb, Ayurveda, and Siddha.

Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) recommended food i.e. black seed has now become the most wanted food because of its healing property specially its unique role in COVID-19.

Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) informed us –

“Use the Black Seed for indeed, it is a cure for all diseases except death.” Saheeh al-Bukharee 7:591

Above mentioned Hadith shows the importance of black seed according to Islam. Lets talk about its logical reasoning...

Guys two days before yesterday I worked on it and did secondary research by research papers available on internet, Here I also want to share with you all about its actual scientific reason but in brief...

As you all know COVID-19 is caused by SARS-COV 2 According to Journal of auto immunity corona patients have high levels of TNF alpha because of cytokine storm mechanism to fight against SARS-COV 2 virus at the level of lungs and cause inflammation this is the root cause of disease severity.

Basically Black seed has no hydroxychloroquine but it has Thymoquinone (T.Q) which inhibits the TNF alpha in the result inflammation and oxidative stress diminish.

Thymoquinone Properties (Black seed):

1. Immune modulator

2. Anti oxident

3. Anti inflammatory

4. Bronchodilator.

Kalonji as Preventive Measurement of Cronovirus:

According to Journal of molecular Biology 2014: Black seed extract decrease the replication of virus COV.

Actual dose of Kalonji (black seed) is still unravel but it is advisable to take black seed in small amount like 1/4 teaspoon( crushed form) daily.

Not only this black seed has diuretic, antihelmintic,anti-hypertensive, anti-diabetic, antimicrobial, analgesics, anti-tussive, bad cholesterol reducing, anti-cancer, kidney protective and liver protective properties
